When it comes to working with recycled materials; Nike very rarely miss. The end product may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the vision is clear. September kicked off with the releases of the brand new WMNS Dunk Low Disrupt in 'Game Royal,' 'Photon Dust' and 'Gym Red.' But how does the Nike Dunk Low SP 'Community Garden' releasing on September 10th compare?
A colourful recycled canvas material decorates the upper, giving off all types of carpet in your living room vibes. The distinct standout colour is, of course, lemon wash yellow that grips you instantly; which is the chosen colour for the swoosh, laces and outsole, with additional detailing on the lace guard. A more prominent sunshine yellow, however, does make an appearance on the white middle.
Scattered across the upper is aqua detailing, a floral pattern on the lace guard, with random tie-dye splashes on the toebox, middle and back, including speckles on the outsole and the inner lining of the shoe. Pale denim blue decorates the toe box, tongue and back. To conclude this recycled silhouette, spread from the toe box to the middle, is a dark cherry red floral pattern, with random swirls and scribbles on a burgundy pink collar.
This silhouette is a real roller coaster, but if you have the right vision, it shouldn't be too hard to pull off.
